About
My name is Laurence, and I founded Ignite Learning to help children rediscover curiosity and enjoyment in learning.
I provide personalised maths tuition in North London and online, supporting pupils from primary school through to university.
My approach focuses on building understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills from an early age, rather than memorisation alone.
Above all, my goal is to help pupils develop the confidence and curiosity that allow them not just to succeed in exams, but to enjoy learning itself.

From an early age I had a passion and affinity for maths, puzzles, and problem solving. My goal is to ignite and nurture that in your child.
We are in an era where facts and information are only one ChatGPT prompt away, and our critical thinking abilities are being eroded by AI.
The future will reward those who can think for themselves, rather than those who can simply recall things they memorised.
I tutor all ages in maths, with an emphasis on building critical thinking and problem solving skills from an early age.

This is a platform I am developing from scratch as a tool to make learning and revision fun, engaging, and hyper-personalised.
It uses spaced repetition and generative AI to create and present hyper-personalised and curriculum-based problems for students to solve in a gamified environment.
